I woke up very early this morning (and accidentally (!) also woke up Amy) as I was so excited to get to Santiago square and see the cathedral.
Amy and I left at 6:10am sharp and the Camino kept us dry and warm for the first 2hrs. Then for a period we got drenched again but the rain stopped as we entered the beautiful city of Santiago de Compostela. Right now Amy and I are waiting for our Camino family about 3.7kms from the Cathedral. We will all meet at this cafe and walk the last part together and hope to make it to the pilgrim mass at noon.
Update: our last photo at the 3.7km cafe.

We walked the last kms together and arrived to the cathedral at noon. Amy told Michele that for sure I was going to get emotional and it turns out Michele recorded me and Amy. Yes, I did get emotional. Amy told me I was the second weepist after Merel! Below is the video.
So my journey ends after 829 kms and 1,130,000 steps in 35 days. It was a life changing experience that will live with me forever. I learned about myself and appreciated the beauty of the world and the people who live on it.
Thanks everyone for following, the texts and the calls. It made me never feel alone.
Now it is time to go back to my 3 beautiful girls on the 8th after two days in Madrid with Amy. But before that we will have a group dinner with my Camino family one last time.
