Amy and I arrived to Arzua today after a 29.5km hike. It was the last long hike I will do on the Camino. The last two days are both just shy of 20k. My right leg at this point is about to fall off. I have issues with my toes (they never fully recovered), shin splints, knee problems and thigh issues. I practically drag it along The Way. I walk and look funny but nothing (even my mom who keeps telling me to go to hospital and quit) will keep me from finishing this.
Below is the photo right infront of our albuerge once we arrived. It is the 39.5k marker for Santiago.

This morning Amy and I left just before 7am and ran into Sergio and Michele (our friends from Cancun) around 9am and walked with them the rest of the day. More so Amy and they walked together, and I followed them from a few hundred yards back. I used my leg as an excuse but in reality, I wanted to be alone one last time on the Camino.
Right around the 26km mark, we ran into Merel (Dutch body building champion). She was desperately tired, wet and was really worried about finding a bed for tonight. She was distragouht and emotional. Right at that moment, the Camino provided once again, as Michele offered her own pre-booked room to Merel (they have only met once at a group dinner). Michele will bunk with Sergio tonight. Another, perhaps one of the last, beautiful moments of my Camino. Merel instantly became Merel again!
The next two days are very easy days. Tomorrow, we will stay at O Pedrouzo which is only 19k from Santiago. I have read that when the winds are right, you can hear Cathedral de Santiago’s bell. I hope to.
As I wrote this blog, I actually started crying, not sure why. Amy is looking at me crying because I am crying. I am becoming increasingly emotional about this coming to an end. I will miss every moment and everyone who touched my life on The Way.
Tonight, Amy and I will meet with the group for dinner. Looking forward to seeing my Camino family.
Kms today: 29.5 kms
Kms total: 785.5 kms
Steps total: 312k Amy, 1072k Ahmet

You’re eating this up
Looks like we will have rain and wind all the way into Santiago but there is nothing stopping Ahmet at this point!
Wow man! You almost made me cry, definitely emotional. It's amazing that you pushed through all those challenges, but I'm sure being around such great people helped. All the best.
